What is the season of Epiphany?

Epiphany begins on the 13th day after Christmas. This allows us to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas. Epiphany sees us through the end of Christmas and gets us almost to Lent. Epiphany usually signifies an experience of a sudden and striking realization. Generally the term is used to describe scientific breakthrough, and religious or philosophical discoveries. So, with the birth of the Christ child behind us, we now go to discover the light that Christ brings.

This year, we will be focusing on the theme of "call". We all have a call to serve God and to serve God's church. May we have a sudden realization that God calls even us!
